Missions

Through ASON International, Riverside Chapel sponsors two children who attend the Adonai Christian School in the Dominican Republic (DR). The funds we give provide not only educational opportunities, but also help to pay for school uniforms, food, a Christmas party and a chance to attend a summer camp. Several members of our congregation have done short term mission trips to the DR to assist with needed projects and have had a chance to meet their own, as well as church, sponsored children. We also send funds to the general fund of ASON International. Those funds help pay the phone and light bills, as well as other day-to-day operating expenses. If they didn’t have money to pay the bills, they could not exist. The island of Hispaniola is shared by the Dominican Republic and Haiti. While ASON works in the Dominican Republic (and other countries, as well), we also support ministry on the Haitian end of the island. We have engaged in various projects to support Pastor St. Luc Noelle in his church development work. Pastor St. Luc is a church planter, encourager, preacher and teacher. Once again, members of our congregation along with other local people have done short term mission projects in Haiti with Pastor St. Luc, so we have experienced the results of our giving first-hand.

Christian Ministry in Haiti Pastor St Luc Noel has been responsible for starting and directing several churches in Haiti. He is constantly seeking avenues to establish the Gospel message to those who have not heard. He is continually growing the ministry with revivals and crusades. Riverside Chapel supports Pastor St. Luc's mission in Haiti through prayer for his ministry and the people of Haiti. If you'd like to learn more ask one of our mission advancement teams.

Youth for Christ is a local mission Riverside Chapel has supported for many years. With many teens coming from dysfunctional family situations, YFC does what it can to mentor young people and bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Every year our congregation participates in the shoebox ministry of Samaritan’s Purse called Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization, provides local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. These simple gifts are shipped outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
